The upgraded Green Bridge connects Lumphini & Benchakitti Park
Living in a big city can get overwhelming at timesIt’s always refreshing to escape the hustle and bustle of city life, even for a little while, and one of my favourite ways to do this is by heading to one of the parks. Lumphini Park and Benjakitti Park, located in Silom and Asok respectively, offer a peaceful retreat away from the busy streets, where you will find many people exercising, spending time with friends or admiring the beautiful views.
However, the real highlight in my opinion is the ‘Green Mile’ – a 1.6km (1 mile) elevated path, connecting the two parks.
Recently renovated, this allows runners, walkers and cyclists alike to easily travel between both parks avoiding the chaotic roads below whilst providing some of the most spectacular skyline views that Bangkok has to offer.
Whilst definitely best to visit early morning or in the evening to avoid the heat, it is well worth the effort and a must-do in my books!
